Paella party catering near Cheam

Paella party catering in Cheam, made fresh on the day

It is easy to cater for a mix of guests: meat, seafood and vegetable or vegan pans side by side. Children typically love a simple chicken paella. On the menu are churros, vegetable paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and we are regularly asked to cater street and neighbourhood parties and anniversary celebrations.

Throwing a party in Cheam? Live paella keeps you out of the kitchen, in a garden, on a patio or at a venue. Mention any parking permits. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

Is live paella right for your party?

For a party that feels a little special without being formal, live paella fits perfectly. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

FAQs for Cheam

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Andrew?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What’s the nearest station to Cheam for guests?

The closest is Cheam station, roughly 0.6 miles away.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes. A simple chicken paella is generally popular with children. Include children in your numbers.

How much is live paella catering?

The price depends on numbers, menu, courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we will send a quote.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.

Do you do desserts?

We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices, or you can serve your own cake.

Do you do starters?

Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, while the rice is cooking.

Do you cover Cheam?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Cheam. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How many courses
  • Parking and unloading
  • The length of service
  • How many guests are eating

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Where the event is
  • A picture of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Anything your venue supplies

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

Tapas

A few tapas set the scene.

Churros

All ages love churros.

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Have cover ready for a shower
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Ask guests about diets when you invite them
  • Let the neighbours know

When you’re ready to eat, we serve straight from the pan.

Tapas and nibbles while the paella cooks keep guests happy.

Space, weather and the venue

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We need:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • A photo of the garden helps us check the space
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

As a London location, Cheam is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What we offer

  • Vegetable paella
  • Chicken & chorizo paella
  • Seafood paella
  • Churros
  • Paella Valenciana
  • Tapas

Cheam parties: what to know

Cheam is about 1 mile south-west of Sutton, in Greater London. Tell us where your party in Cheam will be, and we will plan the journey and set-up before the day. Cheam is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London where we cook. We cook right across the region, from Cheam to London (12 miles away).

Historic houses near Cheam include Nonsuch Mansion (1 mile north-west) and Fitznells Manor (1.8 miles west). Grand settings like these frequently have strict catering rules, so for most parties a garden or hired hall is simpler. If guests are coming by rail, the nearest station is Cheam station, about 0.6 miles north. The Surrey Hills National Landscape is within about 8 miles of Cheam, so a garden party here comes with a lovely backdrop.

Paella party catering in SM2, SM3 and SM1 is planned around your venue and your guests. Local streets include Wray Road, York Road and The Avenue; a party at home on any of them works well with live paella. We also cook at parties in Belmont (1 mile south-east), Cuddington (1 mile north-west), North Looe (1 mile south-west), North Cheam (2 miles north) and Nork (2 miles south). Further out, we also cater in London (12 miles north-east), City of Westminster (12 miles north), Marylebone (12 miles north), Kensington (11 miles north), St Pancras (13 miles north) and Shoreditch (14 miles north-east).

A little further out are Municipal Borough of Sutton and Cheam (1 mile north-east) and Chessington Castle Hill (3.5 miles west). Open spaces near Cheam include Duppas Hill and Belmont Pastures.

  • Nearby schools include Avenue Primary Academy (0.5 miles south-east) and Overton Grange School (0.7 miles north-east)

DIY paella versus live catering

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Planners, venues and businesses

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Your guests are welcome to watch as the paella takes shape. A summer party in Cheam stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. You tell us the date, address, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. You get a menu suggestion and a clear price.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up our cooking area and start cooking.
  4. Guests gather round as it cooks, nibbling tapas if you’ve booked them.
  5. We serve from the pan and clear our cooking area away when we are done.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us when you want to eat
  • Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
