12 questions to ask before you book

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Hog roasts do not suit vegetarians and vegans. Paella covers everyone with separate pans. Larger events generally cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Drinks service on request

Take a look at Our pricing And Our guide to catering costs.

Should I cook it myself?

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

How it works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your party. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. Sunset in Branbridges is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:15pm in late June. If the party runs past dark, we will need light where we cook and serve.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote.
  3. We arrive, set up in your garden or venue and start the sofrito.
  4. Guests gather round as it cooks, nibbling tapas if you’ve booked them.
  5. It is served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Branbridges: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Branbridges?

Beltring station, about 0.5 miles south-east of the centre.

Is Branbridges too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes, children are easy to cater for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan a pan with them in mind.

Can you cook indoors?

Generally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, because we use gas burners. Some venues have suitable spaces; we’ll check with you and the venue.

Can you serve drinks?

We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Can you supply crockery?

If you need them. Crockery or disposables can be added.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes, and meat eaters often go back for seconds. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.

Prices and what affects them

Live paella pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • The paellas you choose
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • How long we’re needed on site

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can be a feast.
