How our festival paella catering works in Branbridges

Paella eats well from a bowl with a fork, standing up or sitting on the grass. On the menu are seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and vegan paella, and we are regularly asked to cater village fêtes and summer fairs and open days.

Near Branbridges, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a hot-food stall is a big help. We serve straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it’s ready.

Your questions about festival paella catering in Branbridges

Which station should guests use for Branbridges?

Beltring station, about 0.5 miles south-east of the centre.

Do you trade at school fairs around Branbridges?

Yes, if the school is happy for us to cook on site. Tell us the date and pitch details.

What do you need at the venue?

A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.

Can you cater for crew and volunteers?

Yes. Crew, volunteer and VIP catering is available, with or without a public stall.

Can we book you as a trader?

Tell us about the event, dates and pitch, and we’ll check availability.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

Who clears up?

We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three is usual: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll help you decide the split.

For event organisers in Branbridges

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

What we need at the venue

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so the cooking area needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Spacing from tents and other structures
  • Room for our cooking and serving area
  • Access for unloading at set-up

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

How it works

Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so large groups are fed quickly. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. Summer events in Branbridges have daylight until about 9:15pm at midsummer and about 7:00pm by late September, so evening trading generally finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. Tell us about the event, the crowd and the pitch.
  2. You get our stall menu and what we need on site.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. We time the first pans for the lunchtime rush.
  5. At close, we pack down and tidy up.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area
  • Leave space around the cooking area
