Planning an event in Terrick?
How our paella catering works in Terrick
Paella was made for feeding a crowd: cooked outdoors in a wide, shallow pan and shared. That is what we bring to events in Terrick. We are often asked to cater wedding breakfasts and evening food and office lunches and staff parties, serving mixed paella, paella Valenciana and vegan paella.
In a hamlet or village like Terrick, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a wonderful venue. Mention gates and soft ground when you get in touch. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Prices and what affects them
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- The length of service
- Waiting and bar staff
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.
What we need to know
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:
- The date and time of the event
- Which courses you have in mind
- A picture of where we’d cook
- Diets and allergies you know about
To get a price, send us your details through our quote form. Tell us about your event in Terrick, and we’ll suggest paellas and extras to suit.
Planning for every diet
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Ensure each pan is labelled
- Count adults and children separately
- Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs
- Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
Paella is at its best straight from the pan, so we serve when guests are ready.

Your questions about paella catering in Terrick
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Peter and St Paul: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
Is Terrick close to London?
About 35 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Do you provide drinks?
Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.
Is the paella cooked on site?
It is. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook on the day, then serve straight from the pan.
How much is live paella catering?
The price depends on numbers, menu, courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we will send a quote.
Can you cater for children?
Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll plan for them.
Is paella enough as a main?
It can be. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main, and tapas or dessert can be added.
How do you work out quantities?
Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
The process
We arrive in good time before you want to eat, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Your guests are welcome to watch as the paella takes shape. Evenings in Terrick stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.
- You share your date, numbers and venue.
- We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
- We arrive early to set up the burners and pans.
- The sofrito, stock and rice go in, and guests gather to watch.
- We serve hot from the pan and clear our cooking area.
Getting ready for the day
- Tell us when you want to eat
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking

What else we do in Terrick
For planners, venues and organisers
For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.
If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.
Paella compared with other options
A plated meal needs a kitchen, more staff and typically costs more per head. Live paella needs only a level, ventilated spot and permission to cook, and it’s entertaining too. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Why us?

- Every diet catered for, pan by pan

Space, weather and the venue
The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We need:
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
- Somewhere close to park and unload
- A safe distance from anything that could catch
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think before booking.
