About the dishes

Paella Valenciana

Valencians take their paella seriously. The classic version is chicken, green beans and butter beans with saffron.

Mixed paella

A mix of chicken and seafood, and a popular all-rounder.

Paella compared with other options

Barbecues cook in batches, so food comes off in waves. Paella is cooked as one big dish and served together. The cost per head normally falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why book with us

  • We cover Temple Park and the whole of Bracknell Forest
  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Every diet catered for, pan by pan
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment

Dietary needs and planning tips

Paella is one of the easiest dishes for mixed diets, because every paella has its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Count adults and children separately
  • Let us know about other food at the event
  • Make sure each pan is labelled
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP

Let the paella rest for a few minutes before serving, and that’s when we invite guests up.

Crockery, cutlery and waiting staff are available if your venue doesn’t provide them.

Should I cook it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Step by step

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. Around midsummer it stays light in Temple Park until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. Guests are served from the pan, and our area is cleared afterwards.

Getting ready for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
