Paella catering for your event in Limmo Peninsula

We cook every paella from scratch on the day, beginning with a sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, then the stock, saffron and rice. Whether it is weddings and evening receptions and milestone birthday parties, we’ll put together a menu of mixed paella, paella Valenciana and black rice.

In Limmo Peninsula, events range from terrace gardens to hired halls. Let us know where we can stop to unload and about any steps. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

What’s in the pans

Vegetable and vegan paella

The vegetable pan is a dish in its own right: peppers, artichokes and beans with saffron.

Seafood paella

Seafood paella starts with a good fish and shellfish stock. The shellfish is added late so it stays tender.

How we price paella catering

There is nothing hidden: the quote reflects:

  • The length of service
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • How many staff you need
  • Guest numbers

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Anything your venue supplies
  • A picture of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
  • Where the event is
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

What happens on the day

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. In Limmo Peninsula, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote, including what’s included.
  3. On the day we arrive in good time, set up and start the stock.
  4. The paella cooks in front of your guests, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. We serve it hot from the pan and clear our area when service ends.

12 questions to ask before booking

Should I cook it myself?

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Before you choose a spot

Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We need:

  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover

As a London location, Limmo Peninsula is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think.

Paella compared with other options

A plated meal needs a kitchen, more staff and normally costs more per head. Live paella needs only a level, ventilated spot and permission to cook, and it is entertaining too. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment
  • Catering across Greater London, including Limmo Peninsula
