Catering for every guest
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Send allergies to us in writing
- Mention any other courses or food
- Add a dietary question to your invitations
- Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
Once everyone is fed, we clear our cooking area, quietly and quickly.
Tapas or canapés make a good start while the paella cooks.
How our paella catering works in Edgware Bury
Everything is cooked from scratch on site, starting with a slow sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, followed by stock, saffron and rice. Whether it is birthday celebrations and garden get-togethers, we can cook vegan paella, black rice and chicken and chorizo paella for your guests.
London gardens are often long and narrow, but a level spot away from fences and trees is generally all we need. In Edgware Bury, the bigger question is parking near the house or venue. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

Should I cook it myself?
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.
What we need at the venue
If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
As a London location, Edgware Bury is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Edgware Bury questions
Can you cater a reception after a service at St Andrew?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
Can you cook in Edgwarebury Park?
Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.
Are premium seafood options available?
Seafood choices are agreed when we plan the menu, including premium options if you want them.
How do you work out quantities?
Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Let us know about any other food. Our guide to portions explains more.
Can you serve drinks?
Sangria can be added, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Of course. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans.
What areas do you cover?
We cater across London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.
What does paella catering cost?
We quote for each event, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.
Step by step
The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. In Edgware Bury, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
- Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
- Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
- Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
- On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
- Guests are served from the pan, and our area is cleared afterwards.
How to prepare
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Make sure we can park close by to unload
- Let us know who to talk to on the day
Ask for a quote
Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Prices and what affects them
There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:
- How many courses
- Travel, parking and access
- Timings and hours
- The number of people
Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.
