Paella Valenciana

Valencians take their paella seriously. The traditional pan has chicken, flat green beans and butter beans.

Black rice

Black rice looks dramatic and tastes of the sea.

Paella catering for your event in Broadfields Estate

Keep it simple, or go all out: just paella, or paella with tapas, desserts and drinks. We will suggest what suits your event. Typical bookings include big birthdays and retirement and leaving parties, serving vegan paella, vegetable paella and mixed paella.

London gardens are often long and narrow, but a level spot away from fences and trees is normally all we need. In Broadfields Estate, the bigger question is parking near the house or venue. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Planning for every diet

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Request clear labels at the serving table
  • Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
  • Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs

The rice takes about 20 minutes once it goes in, so we time it carefully. If plans change, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana finish the meal.

What happens on the day

We work to your timings. If things run behind, we adjust the cooking so it’s still served fresh. Around midsummer it stays light in Broadfields Estate until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Check the venue allows live cooking
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Questions from Broadfields Estate

Is parking a problem for events in Broadfields Estate?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We will plan unloading around it.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Andrew?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.

What do you need at the venue?

A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we’ll suggest the mix.

Can you feed a lot of people?

Yes. Large pans and fast service from the pan make it well suited to crowds.

Do you bring everything you need?

We bring the pans, burners and ingredients. You provide a suitable spot and access.

Why choose live paella in Broadfields Estate?

Vans serve one order at a time. A big pan serves many guests fast, which suits weddings and parties where everyone eats together. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Why choose Love Paella in Broadfields Estate

Take a look at Our pricing And What paella catering costs.

How we price paella catering

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Timings and hours
  • Parking and unloading
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Expected numbers
  • The address or venue name
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Which courses you have in mind

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote.

DIY paella versus live catering

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
