How our paella catering works in Broughton

Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. When it’s ready, it is served straight from the pan. For naming days and family parties and anniversary celebrations, we can cook chicken and chorizo paella, vegetable paella and paella Valenciana and more.

For a rural spot like Broughton, the countryside is part of the appeal: a huge pan in a garden or field fits perfectly. Let us know about access and ground conditions. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

Why choose live paella in Broughton?

If you want something different from the usual buffet or roast, live paella adds colour, smell and theatre to your event in Broughton. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Why Broughton hosts choose us

DIY paella versus live catering

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • How many guests are eating

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What we need to know

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Anything your venue supplies
  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. To send your details, send us your details through our quote form.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. Around midsummer it stays light in Broughton until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.

  1. It starts with your date, venue, numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu and an itemised quote.
  3. On the day, we set up the burners and pans and get the stock going.
  4. The rice cooks in full view, while tapas or canapés go round.
  5. It’s served straight from the pan, and we pack down afterwards.

Preparing for the day

  • Check the venue allows live cooking

FAQs for Broughton

Do you come out to small places like Broughton?

No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.

How far is Broughton from London?

Roughly 69 miles from the centre of London.

Will there be enough food?

Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Tell us what else is being served. See how much paella per person.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Of course. A simple chicken paella is generally popular with children. Include children in your numbers.

Should we have more than one paella?

Generally two or three, so every guest has a choice. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

What if the weather’s bad?

A covered, ventilated spot keeps us cooking in the rain. We will make a plan B with you.

Can you provide dessert?

We do. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Catering for every guest

Paella is one of the easiest dishes for mixed diets, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:

  • Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
  • Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
  • Ask for labels on each pan

Paella is at its best straight from the pan, so we serve when guests are ready.

Tapas or canapés make a good start while the paella cooks.

Occasions we cook for in Broughton

There’s no kitchen needed, so it is at home in gardens, fields and marquees where other catering struggles.

Whatever the occasion, live paella can be the centrepiece. We regularly cater:

  • Garden get-togethers
  • Engagement and anniversary parties
  • Festivals, fairs and school events
  • Family celebrations and christenings

Nearby historic houses include Mottisfont Abbey (3.9 miles south). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on caterers and cooking early.

Before booking anyone

  • How many staff are coming, and for how long
  • Space, access and power needs
  • Plates, cutlery and napkins, or disposables
  • When final numbers are due
