Festival paella catering for your event in Way
The pans are part of the attraction. Visitors stop to watch, take photos and come back for lunch. For race days and sports events and feeding crew and volunteers, we can cook chicken and chorizo paella, seafood paella and churros and more.
At a field event near Way, power and water may be limited; tell us what’s available and we’ll plan around it. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, not reheated, and served as soon as it’s ready.
Running an event in Way
Way is about 3 miles west of Ramsgate, in Kent. Tell us where your event in Way will be, and we’ll plan access and set-up before the day. We cover 922 places across Kent. Our events stretch from Way to Canterbury (12 miles away).
If you are organising a summer fair or fundraiser for a school such as Minster Church of England Primary School, a paella stall is a crowd-pleaser. Running a fête for a church like Church of Saint Mary the Virgin? A paella pan draws people in. The coast is within about 4 miles of Way, so for seaside events we plan a sheltered pitch, and seafood paella sells well by the sea.

Planning for every diet

- Ask traders about serving speed at peak times

- Book crew catering in advance
We set up at the agreed time.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.
Planning the cooking area
Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but a few things matter:
- A pitch big enough for the pans, burners and serving table
- The event’s site rules and timings
- Access for unloading at set-up
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What affects the price in Way
Your quote will be clear and itemised. The main things that affect it are:
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- The number of people
- Plates, cutlery and glassware
- Waiting and bar staff
Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
Getting an accurate quote
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:
- The date and time of the event
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just send us your details through our quote form.
Dishes our guests love

Vegans get a hot, filling dish.
Chicken & chorizo paella
A hearty, smoky pan, popular with families.
The process
A typical event goes like this: we set up the pans and start the sofrito, the rice cooks in front of your guests, and we serve straight from the pan when you’re ready to eat. For an evening event in Way, sunset is about 8:45pm in late May and 9:15pm in late June; after that, the pitch needs good lighting.
- First, we check the dates.
- We agree menu and pitch.
- Burners and pans go up.
- Pans are cooking as gates open.
- We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.
How to prepare
- Let us know the timings for the day
- Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
- Make sure we can park close by to unload

FAQs for Way
What about events near the coast?
Yes, with a sheltered cooking spot. Wind is the main issue on the coast, so we plan shelter.
Can you run a stall at a school fair in Way?
Yes, with the school’s permission. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.
Can you trade at our festival or fair?
Tell us about your event, and we’ll reply with our availability and what we need.
What paperwork do you provide?
Send your requirements and we will include them with our application.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.
How many paellas should we have?
Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We will help you decide the split.
How do you work out quantities?
Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a little extra built in. Accurate numbers help.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.
