Festival paella catering for The Moor events

How our festival paella catering works in The Moor

A paella stall covers several diets at once: meat, seafood and vegan pans side by side. That simplifies your food line-up. For festivals and village fêtes and summer fairs, we’ll put together a menu of giant-pan paella, vegan paella and churros.

At a field event near The Moor, power and water may be limited; let us know and we’ll plan for it. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, not reheated, and served as soon as it’s ready.

What festival paella catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many guests are eating
  • Timings and hours
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Whether you need crockery

Larger events generally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Details that help

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • The date and time of the event
  • Which courses you have in mind

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We will send a clear, itemised quote and a suggested menu.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Send traders one clear trader pack
  • Plan for vegan and gluten-free visitors
  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Provide seating near the food

We cook in full view of visitors, and serve from the pan throughout the event.

Crew, volunteer and VIP catering.

Space, weather and the venue

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • Clear information on power, water and waste
  • A pitch big enough for the pans, burners and serving table
  • A pitch away from tents and structures

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think.

What we offer

  • Giant paella pans
  • Vegan paella
  • Churros

FAQs for The Moor

Is The Moor close to London?

About 41 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Can you cook at venues in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

How many paellas should we have?

Normally two or three, so every guest has a choice. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

Can vegans eat at your stall?

Absolutely. The vegan pan is cooked separately.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we will cook a separate pan.

How quickly can you serve?

Big batches and service from the pan keep things moving.

What space do you need to cook?

Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Of course. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, while the rice is cooking.

About the dishes

Vegan paella

A proper vegan main, in its own pan.

Giant paella pans

It’s the huge pan people come to see.

Why choose live paella in The Moor?

Some traders struggle with vegan and gluten-free options. A paella stall can have a vegan pan alongside the rest. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

What you get with us

  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • A clear, itemised quote

The process

The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. Evening events in The Moor have light until about 9:15pm at midsummer; after that, the pitch needs good lighting.

  1. Send the event name, expected visitors and pitch size.
  2. We reply with our menu, prices for visitors and requirements.
  3. We send the documents the event asks for.
  4. We time the first pans for the lunchtime rush.
  5. At close, we pack down and tidy up.

Before we arrive

  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
