Planning an event in Lychpit?
How our festival paella catering works in Lychpit
A paella stall covers several diets at once: meat, seafood and vegan pans side by side. That simplifies your food line-up. Popular choices include vegan paella, churros and chicken and chorizo paella, and we are regularly asked to cater county and country shows and school fairs and fundraisers.
At a field event near Lychpit, power and water may be limited; tell us what’s available and we will plan around it. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.
Why live cooking beats a buffet
If you want a trader that adds atmosphere, a paella pan delivers. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

Dietary needs and planning tips
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Feed crew and volunteers at set times
- Check allergen info is on display
- Ask traders about packaging and waste
- Ask traders about serving speed at peak times
We keep our pitch tidy and safe.

Should I cook it myself?
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.
Before you choose a spot
Safety and good cooking both depend on the spot we use. We look for:
- Clear information on power, water and waste
- A pitch big enough for the pans, burners and serving table
- Clearance from tents and gazebos
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.
What we offer
- Tapas
- Seafood paella
- Giant paella pans
- Vegan paella

How we price festival paella catering
There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:
- Distance and access to the venue
- Whether you need crockery
- Your choice of paellas
- Starters, canapés and desserts
Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.
What to tell us
For a quote, it helps to have:
- Expected numbers
- Your date and when you want to eat
- A picture of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
- What the venue already provides
A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, use our quote form.

FAQs for Lychpit
Can you cook in Eastrop Park?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.
Do you trade at school fairs around Lychpit?
Yes, if the school is happy for us to cook on site. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.
Do you do vegan paella?
Yes, and meat eaters often go back for seconds. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.
Can you trade at our festival or fair?
Tell us about the event, dates and pitch, and we’ll check availability.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
Yes, on request. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.
Can you supply plates?
Yes, on request. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.
Do you provide drinks?
Yes, sangria. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.
How many paellas should we have?
Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll help you decide the split.
How the day works
The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, events in Lychpit stay light until about 9:25pm, so evening trading typically finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, the pitch needs lighting.
- Send the event name, expected visitors and pitch size.
- You get our stall menu and what we need on site.
- We send the documents the event asks for.
- On the day, the pans are on before the busiest hours.
- When trading ends, the pitch is cleared and left clean.
Getting ready for the day
- Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
- Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
- Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
