Live festival paella catering in Jordans

Festival paella catering in Jordans, made fresh on the day

Paella eats well from a bowl with a fork, on the move or on a picnic rug. We’re frequently asked to cater food and music festivals and school fairs and fundraisers, serving vegan paella, chicken and chorizo paella and seafood paella.

At a field event near Jordans, power and water may be limited; tell us what’s available and we will plan around it. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

How we price festival paella catering

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Guest numbers

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you only pay for what you want.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The address or venue name
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • The courses you’d like

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. You can fill in our quote form.

Where we can cook in Jordans

Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Spacing from tents and other structures
  • The event’s site rules and timings
  • Access for unloading at set-up

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.

Jordans questions

What’s the nearest station to Jordans for guests?

The closest is Seer Green & Jordans station, roughly 0.6 miles away.

Do you come out to small places like Jordans?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Generally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, since the burners are gas. We will check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Can vegans eat at your stall?

Yes. Vegan paella is cooked in its own pan.

Do you do desserts?

Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.

Who clears up?

Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

Can you bring crockery?

We can. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

DIY paella versus live catering

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Step by step

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, events in Jordans stay light until about 9:25pm, which helps evening trading. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Tell us about the event, the crowd and the pitch.
  2. We reply with our menu, prices for visitors and requirements.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. On the day, the pans are on before the busiest hours.
  5. At close, we pack down and tidy up.

Before we arrive

  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable

Why live cooking beats a buffet

For crew catering, sandwiches are easy but uninspiring. A hot paella keeps crew going. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What you get with us

  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • A clear, itemised quote
  • Drinks service on request
