What festival paella catering costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • The number of people
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • How many staff you need

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed before booking.

What to tell us

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Expected numbers
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • The address or venue name

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. You can use our quote form.

FAQs for Iping

How far is Iping from London?

Roughly 46 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Do you cater in the South Downs National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

What areas do you cover?

We cater across London and the South East, West Sussex included. See all areas.

Do you do crew catering?

Yes. Crew, volunteer and VIP catering is available, with or without a public stall.

Do you need water?

Send pitch details and we will confirm.

How long does the paella take?

We get there in good time to set up. The rice itself takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

How it works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we arrive, set up and start cooking, the rice cooks in front of your guests, and we serve straight from the pan when you’re ready to eat. Summer events in Iping have daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer and about 7:05pm by late September, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Send us your event details and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, needs and paperwork.
  3. We set up on time.
  4. We cook and serve throughout.
  5. We pack down and tidy the pitch.

How to prepare

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely

DIY paella versus live catering

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Perfect for your event in Iping

One trader, many diets, which saves pitches.

Live paella suits almost any gathering. People in Iping book us for occasions like:

  • County and country shows
  • Village fêtes
  • Community events and open days
  • Food and music festivals

What your quote should include

  • How late numbers can change
  • How long the team stays
  • Whether crockery, cutlery and napkins are included

Paella compared with other options

Most street food is cooked one order at a time. Paella is batch-cooked and served fast, keeping queues short. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. Your quote spells it all out.

Why us?

  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Everything cooked fresh at your event
  • Every diet catered for, pan by pan
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
