Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.
Live paella or other catering?
Sandwich platters are easy but forgettable. Live paella is an event in itself. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.
Why book with us

How it works
From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you are free to enjoy your work event. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. After-work summer parties in Streat have daylight until about 9:20pm in late June and 7:05pm in late September; winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, need lit cooking and serving areas.
- You tell us the date, venue, numbers, timings and dietary needs.
- You get a menu, a quote and any documents the venue asks for.
- We agree access, parking and set-up times with you or the venue.
- We cook live on the day and serve on schedule.
- We clear our cooking area away and leave the space as we found it.
How to prepare
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking
- Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
- Ensure we can park close by to unload
