Wedding paella catering in Whiteley Village, made fresh on the day

Timing is everything with paella: once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and it is best served straight away. We plan it around your speeches and photos. For big weddings with every diet and rustic barn weddings, we’ll put together a menu of Spanish desserts, canapé tapas and evening paella for your guests.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Whiteley Village, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, never made in advance and reheated.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Tell us how many evening guests to expect
  • Include any suppliers you’re feeding
  • Pick a serving style

After service, we pack down our cooking area; any staff stay as long as agreed.

Canapé tapas with the drinks reception keep guests going during photos.

Prices and what affects them

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • How many guests are eating
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many staff you need

Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

What to tell us

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • The courses you’d like
  • What the venue already provides
  • The venue or postcode

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

How it works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up the pans and burners, and cook and serve without fuss. For a summer wedding in Whiteley Village, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Whiteley Village questions

Is Whiteley Village close to London?

Roughly 18 miles from the centre of London.

Is Whiteley Village too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Do you do canapés and evening food too?

Any part of the day, or all of it, from the drinks reception to the evening.

Do you come to Whiteley Village?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Whiteley Village is within our area and the rest of Surrey. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

What if the weather’s bad?

We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, it is the classic pairing. Tapas first, paella to follow.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a large team. Paella needs a level, ventilated spot and permission, and feels more relaxed. Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Why us?

  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu
