Paella catering in Whiteley Village, cooked live
A couple of different pans covers everyone: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. Each is cooked separately, so diets are easy to manage. Whether it’s birthday celebrations and weddings and evening receptions, we’ll put together a menu of vegetable paella, chicken and chorizo paella and black rice for your guests.
Somewhere like Whiteley Village, a field or garden is frequently the perfect setting. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: the menu, the staff and any extras, with no surprises on the day.
Planning the cooking area
Every venue is different, so we will ask about yours before we confirm. In general, we need:
- Somewhere close to park and unload
- Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.
Popular choices
- Black rice (arroz negro)

Is live paella right for your event?
If you want something different from the usual buffet or roast, live paella brings colour, aroma and a touch of Spain. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
What you get with us

The process
From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you’re free to enjoy your event. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. Around midsummer it stays light in Whiteley Village until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
- First, tell us about your event.
- You get a menu and an itemised quote.
- We agree timings, access and the cooking spot.
- We cook live on the day while guests watch.
- It’s served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.
Before we arrive
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
- Share the running order, including any speeches

Planning help
Dietary needs and planning tips
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Flag any coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
- Tell us how many children are coming
- Send allergies to us in writing
- Make sure each pan is labelled
Paella is at its best straight from the pan, so we plan service for when guests are ready to eat.
Need plates or staff? We can provide them.
Questions from Whiteley Village
Can you cook in West End Common?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.
What’s the nearest station to Whiteley Village for guests?
Weybridge station, about 1.4 miles north-west of the centre.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Of course. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Tell us how many are coming.
Can you bring crockery?
Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.
How much is live paella catering?
It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we’ll send a quote.
Do you take everything away?
Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.
Can you provide dessert?
Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.
Can paella be the only main course?
Yes. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main.

Should I cook it myself?
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.
