Wedding paella catering in Townsend, cooked live
Timing is everything with paella: the rice needs about 20 minutes and is best served immediately. We plan it around your speeches and photos. On the menu are table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and evening paella, and we are frequently booked for rustic barn weddings and food for evening guests.
There is something special about a country wedding near Townsend, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan for access and a wet-weather cover. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, not reheated.

How the day works
We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, we adjust the cooking so it’s served at its best. In Townsend, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:10pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 4:00pm.
- We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
- Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
- We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.
Before we arrive
- Ensure we can park close by to unload
- Check the venue allows live cooking
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
