Wedding paella catering for Street End events
Wedding paella catering in Street End, made fresh on the day
Evening paella is a favourite: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. We’re frequently asked to cater garden and marquee weddings and big weddings with every diet, with table tapas, evening paella and a paella wedding breakfast.
Near Street End, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That is exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

Street End weddings: local tips
Street End is about 4 miles north of Selsey, in West Sussex. Weddings in Street End are planned around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and paella cooked live on the day. We cover all 371 towns and villages across West Sussex. We cook right across the region, from Street End to Southampton (28 miles away).
If you’re marrying at a church near Street End, such as St Mary Our Lady Sidlesham, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: we can be cooking during the photos, so it’s ready as guests arrive. With the coast within about 5 miles, a seafood paella suits a seaside-style wedding. We’ll plan shelter from sea breezes.
This part of West Sussex takes in PO20, and we can cater your wedding anywhere in it. That could mean a wedding in a garden on Church Lane, Selsey Road and Chalder Lane. Neighbouring places where we cater weddings include Sidlesham Common (1 mile north-west), Sidlesham (1 mile south), Keynor Estate (1 mile south), Fisher (1 mile north-east) and South Mundham (2 miles north-east). Larger places within reach include Bognor Regis (5 miles east), Chichester (4 miles north), Selsey (4 miles south), Littlehampton (11 miles east), Emsworth (8 miles north-west) and Rustington (12 miles east).
Nearby you will also find Chichester Castle (3.8 miles north) and Chichester Cathedral Treasury (3.4 miles north).
Planners, venues and businesses
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.
If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we’ll talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
Street End questions
Is Street End close to London?
Roughly 58 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.
We’re having a ceremony at St Mary Our Lady Sidlesham: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We clear our cooking area away when service is finished. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.
Do you do starters?
Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas first, paella to follow.
Do you work with our venue?
Yes, and it saves you passing messages. Introduce us and we’ll sort the details.
What if the timings change?
It happens. We time the rice to the actual running order, so it is ready when you are.
Do you do vegan paella?
Yes, and meat eaters often go back for seconds. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.
Can we have a tasting?
Mention a tasting in your enquiry, and we’ll talk you through it.

What wedding paella catering costs
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- Parking and unloading
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- Guest numbers
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
The cost per head generally falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
What to tell us
You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Anything your venue supplies
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- Where the event is
We quote for each event separately, so you only pay for what you need. For a quote, fill in our quote form.
Is live paella right for your wedding?
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Before you choose a spot
Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

- A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
- Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think.

The process
Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so large groups are fed quickly. When service is finished, we pack down. In Street End, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
- We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
- We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.
How to prepare
- Tell us when you want to eat
- Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
