Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Kemsley Street

Mixed diets are easy at a paella wedding: every paella is cooked separately, so every guest gets a proper hot main. Typical bookings include weddings with a Spanish theme and rustic barn weddings, with table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and evening paella.

A wedding in a small place like Kemsley Street often means a field, a barn or a family garden. That is exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Let us know about access and ground. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

How to compare caterers

Common questions in Kemsley Street

How far is Kemsley Street from London?

Roughly 32 miles from the centre of London.

Is Kemsley Street too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

How much space do you need?

Less than you might think: a level spot clear of fences, hedges and branches, with room for a serving table. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.

Can you provide dessert?

Yes, Spanish desserts can be added. Tell us what you have in mind when you ask for a quote.

How do you work out quantities?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a little extra built in. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.

How long do you need on site?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance.

Can you feed our photographer and band?

Yes, include them in your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.

What wedding paella catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Guest numbers
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Timings and hours
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Details that help

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What the venue already provides

The quickest way to a quote is to use our quote form. Give us the details of your wedding, and we will put together a menu and price.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Before you choose a spot

Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so the cooking area needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Evening paella
  • Table tapas
  • Canapé tapas
  • Paella wedding breakfast
  • Sangria & bar staff
  • Dessert

How the day works

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your wedding. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. For a summer wedding in Kemsley Street, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:50pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.

Is live paella right for your wedding?

Compared with formal catering, live paella is relaxed and sociable, but with the right extras it feels just as special. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.
