Wedding paella catering near Haine
How our wedding paella catering works in Haine
A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests wander over to watch while the photos are taken, and the food arrives hot and plentiful. On the menu are evening paella, table tapas and a paella wedding breakfast, and we’re regularly asked to cater weddings with lots of dietary needs and garden and marquee weddings.
A wedding in a small place like Haine often means a field, a barn or a family garden. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Let us know about access and ground. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.
Where we can cook in Haine
We will be honest if a space won’t work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
- Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
- Somewhere close to park and unload
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think before you book.

Haine questions
Can you cook near the sea around Haine?
Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Wind is the main issue on the coast, so we plan shelter.
What’s the nearest station to Haine for guests?
The closest is Ramsgate station, roughly 1.2 miles away.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, served while the paella cooks.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.
How many paellas should we have?
Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll help you decide the split.
Can you cook halal paella?
Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in a separate pan.
Do you come to Haine?
Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Haine. For a quote, fill in our quote form.
Can you provide dessert?
We can add a dessert. Tell us what you have in mind in your enquiry.
Paella compared with other options
A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Separate paella pans cover every diet. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.
What you get with us

DIY paella versus live catering
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
About the dishes
Paella wedding breakfast
Two or three paellas, served from the pans or brought to the tables, with bread and salad.
Table tapas
A tapas starter gets tables talking.
The process
When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. For a summer wedding in Haine, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so an evening paella for evening guests is generally served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 3:50pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
- Together we plan each course.
- Timings are agreed with your venue.
- On the day, we cook and serve each course.
- We clear our area; staff stay as booked.

- Plates, cutlery and glassware
Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.
