Wedding paella catering in Greenhithe, cooked live
A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the food arrives hot and plentiful. On the menu are a paella wedding breakfast, evening paella and table tapas, and we are often booked for evening wedding food and sharing-style wedding meals.
A farm or garden wedding near Greenhithe suits live paella. We need level ground and access. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.
FAQs for Greenhithe
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
Which station should guests use for Greenhithe?
Greenhithe has its own station: Greenhithe for Bluewater station.
Can you cook indoors?
Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces frequently work.
What do you need at the venue?
Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.
Do you do canapés and evening food too?
We can cater as much or as little of the day as you like, from the drinks reception to the evening.
Do you provide plates and cutlery?
Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we will quote for the rest.
Which areas do you serve?
We cater across London and the South East, Kent included. See all areas.
Do you do starters?
Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, served while the paella cooks.
Diets, allergies and planning
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:
- Give us separate day and evening numbers
- Include any suppliers you are feeding
- Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
- Decide whether guests queue at the pans or are served at the tables
After service, we pack down our cooking area; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.
Sangria and bar staff can be added.
Dishes our guests love
Canapé tapas
Canapé tapas fill the gap before the meal.
Desserts
To finish: churros, crema catalana or your wedding cake.
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think before booking.

What happens on the day
When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. In Greenhithe, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:00pm, which means evening paella is typically served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:50pm.
- We check availability for your date.
- You pick the courses and dishes.
- We confirm the plan with your coordinator.
- The pans cook while guests enjoy the drinks.
- We serve, then pack down.
How to prepare
- Confirm numbers and diets before the day
- Check the venue allows live cooking
- Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches

Is live paella right for your wedding?
Compared with formal catering, live paella is relaxed and sociable, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.
