Wedding paella catering in Ford
About our wedding paella catering in Ford
Timing is everything with paella: the rice needs about 20 minutes and is best served immediately. We plan it around your speeches and photos. We’re often asked to cater spanish-themed and destination-style weddings and sharing-style wedding meals, serving canapé tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and evening paella.
A wedding in a small place like Ford frequently means a field, a barn or a family garden. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, with each paella cooked in its own pan.

FAQs for Ford
Can you cook at venues in the South Downs National Park?
Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll work to whatever the site needs.
Do you come out to small places like Ford?
No, we cook in small places too. Let us know about access and parking.
Can you cook in the rain?
We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.
How far ahead should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.
Where do you cater?
London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Ford.
Can you do sangria?
We can make sangria, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.
How much does wedding paella catering cost in Ford?
The price depends on numbers, menu, courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we will send a quote.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

We will be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:
- Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we’ll say what we think.

Planning for every diet
Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:
- Introduce us to your venue coordinator
- Ask about your date as soon as you have one
- Send us the running order and speech times
- Tell us how many evening guests to expect
Paella can be served at the pans or carried to the tables by staff, whichever suits your day.
Add sangria, or bar staff to serve your own drinks.

Why choose wedding paella catering in Ford?
Couples choose paella because it feels relaxed and generous, and guests talk about it afterwards.
Almost any gathering can work with live paella. In Ford, people book us for occasions like:
- Relaxed sharing-style wedding breakfasts
- Evening wedding food
- Weddings in a marquee or garden
- Farm and barn venues
If you are marrying at a church near Ford, such as The Parish Church of St Andrew, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: the paella can be cooking while you have photos taken, so the meal is ready when you arrive.
Questions to ask before booking
- Who provides the crockery
- What happens if it rains
- How many staff are coming, and for how long
- How each diet is kept separate
DIY paella versus live catering
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.
Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.
How we price wedding paella catering
The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- The number of people
- Timings and hours
When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.
Details that help
The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Please include:
- A picture of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field
- Roughly how many adults and children
- The date and time of the event
- The courses you’d like
It is easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote.
Live paella or other catering?
Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella goes straight from pan to plate when guests are ready. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
Why us?
- Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
- A quote that spells everything out
- Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
- Everything cooked fresh at your event
