Planning an event in Ewhurst?

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

How our wedding paella catering works in Ewhurst

A paella wedding makes mixed diets simple: every paella is cooked separately, so every guest gets a proper hot main. For barn and farm weddings and weddings with mixed diets, we will put together a menu of Spanish desserts, a paella wedding breakfast and table tapas for your guests.

Rural weddings around Ewhurst have a magic of their own, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan for access and a wet-weather cover. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Before you choose a spot

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so we need a suitable spot. Here’s what we look for:

  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think before you book.

What wedding paella catering costs

There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:

  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Guest numbers
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Parking and unloading

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you only pay for what you want.

Getting an accurate quote

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Expected numbers
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The address or venue name

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote and a suggested menu.

Live paella or other catering?

Live paella is less formal than a plated meal, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

What you get with us

  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:

  • Book early for summer Saturdays
  • Choose pan-side or table service
  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
  • Count day and evening guests separately

Evening guests can be served from fresh pans later on, timed for after the first dance.

Crockery, cutlery and waiting staff are available.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
