Tapas catering for your event in Lucas Green

The best spreads mix hot and cold: Manchego, Serrano ham and olives alongside patatas bravas, croquetas and gambas al ajillo. We are frequently asked to cater birthday and anniversary parties and tapas before paella, serving croquetas, patatas bravas and Serrano ham.

In a rural spot like Lucas Green, tapas can be served in a garden, barn or marquee. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Plan more dishes if tapas are the meal
  • Let us know if tapas are a starter or the main event
  • Include staff for canapés
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies

Staff carry canapés round and keep boards topped up.

Lucas Green: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Lucas Green?

The closest is Brookwood station, roughly 2.1 miles away.

Is Lucas Green too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

What happens if it rains?

Rain doesn’t stop us, as long as there is a ventilated cover. We’ll make a plan B with you.

Do you do tapas on their own?

Of course. Tapas and canapés can be booked on their own.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Of course. Children often love a simple chicken paella. Tell us how many are coming.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

Should we have more than one paella?

Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We will help you decide the split.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

Yes, on request. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

How it works

We get there well before serving, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests generally gather round to watch while it cooks. At midsummer, it is light in Lucas Green until about 9:20pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:05pm; winter receptions, dark by 3:55pm, are better indoors.

  1. Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
  2. We suggest a selection and confirm a quote.
  3. On the day, we set up and prepare the hot tapas there.
  4. Canapés circulate with drinks, or tapas go to the tables.
  5. Afterwards, our equipment is cleared away.

Preparing for the day

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
