Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • The paellas you choose
  • Parking and unloading
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Where the event is
  • Expected numbers
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

The quickest way to a quote is to send us your details through our quote form. Tell us about your event in Eastry, and we’ll suggest paellas and extras to suit.

Your questions about tapas catering in Eastry

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Mary the Virgin: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

How far is Eastry from London?

Roughly 63 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.

Do you supply canapé staff?

Staff make canapés work, and we can provide them.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.

Are your tapas vegetarian-friendly?

Many tapas are naturally vegetarian, like tortilla and padrón peppers. We label each dish.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

How do you work out quantities?

We plan quantities around your timings and courses. Give us the details for a suggestion.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, Kent included. See all areas.

How it works

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. A summer drinks reception in Eastry has daylight until about 9:15pm at midsummer, perfect for canapés outdoors. By late September it is dark around 7:00pm, and in December by about 3:50pm.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, numbers and how you’d like the tapas served.
  2. You get a suggested selection and a price.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up and finish the hot tapas on site.
  4. Canapés go round with the drinks, or table tapas go out to share.
  5. We pack down when service ends.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

Catering for every guest

With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:

  • Separate seafood dishes from the rest
  • Let us know if tapas are a starter or the main event
  • Book staff to carry canapés round
  • Pair tapas with sangria, cava or sherry

Canapés go round with the drinks.

Crockery and serving dishes.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Plated starters need a kitchen. Table tapas are shared and relaxed. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • No hidden extras in your quote
  • Events in Eastry and across Kent
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
