About our paella party catering in Three Chimneys

A paella party means no cooking for you, and no formal dinner either. We set up in the garden or venue and cook as your guests chat. On the menu are mixed paella, seafood paella and churros, and typical bookings are for garden get-togethers and family get-togethers.

Near Three Chimneys, parties are frequently in gardens or fields. Let us know about access, and we’ll handle the rest. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.

What affects the price in Three Chimneys

Your quote will be clear and itemised. The main things that affect it are:

  • How many staff you need
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • How many courses
  • Timings and hours

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and rough timings
  • A photo of the space, if you can

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your party, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, send us your details through our quote form.

Step by step

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, it’s light in Three Chimneys until about 9:15pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:00pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. Send us your date, address and numbers.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. We arrive before your guests and set up.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook.
  5. We serve, then clear our area.

Preparing for the day

Planning help

Working with your venue

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Dishes our guests love

Seafood paella

A seafood pan with prawns and mussels.

Vegetable paella

Vegetarians get a real main course, and meat eaters frequently try it too.

Three Chimneys questions

Is Three Chimneys too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

How far is Three Chimneys from London?

About 40 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, including Kent. See all areas.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know and we will add it to the quote.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

Can you serve drinks?

We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.

How long does the paella take?

We arrive well before serving to set up and start the stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

Should I cook it myself?

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Paella compared with other options

A hog roast is great for meat lovers, but harder for vegetarians and vegans. Separate paella pans cover everyone. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.
