Live paella party catering in Penwood

How our paella party catering works in Penwood

Paella is relaxed food: it is served from the pan and shared, so nobody needs a formal seating plan. Whether it’s retirement celebrations and anniversary celebrations, we can cook vegetable paella, seafood paella and tapas for your guests.

In a small place like Penwood, a party in the garden or a nearby field is frequently the plan. Let us know about access, and we’ll handle the rest. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Let us know how long the food break is.

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Collect dietary needs with your invites
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Have bins ready
  • Keep a clear zone around the cooking area

When you are ready to eat, we serve straight from the pan.

Churros and chocolate go down well with all ages.

Tapas

Tapas keep guests going.

Chicken & chorizo paella

A smoky favourite with children and adults, and a good choice for guests who do not eat seafood.

The process

Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. A summer party in Penwood stays light until about 9:25pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:10pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up our cooking area and start cooking.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. It is served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

How to prepare

  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking

DIY paella versus live catering

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

How we price paella party catering

There’s nothing hidden: the quote reflects:

  • The length of service
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Whether you need crockery

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

What we need to know

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • The address or venue name
  • A photo of the space, if you can

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.

Your questions about paella party catering in Penwood

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael Archangel: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What’s the nearest station to Penwood for guests?

Newbury station, about 3.7 miles north-east of the centre.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.

How many different paellas?

Two or three covers most guests. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

What about pudding?

Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, while the rice is cooking.

Is paella OK for kids?

Of course. A simple chicken paella goes down well with children. Include children in your numbers.
