Live paella party catering in Kingham

Common questions in Kingham

Is Kingham too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Andrew?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

Do you cater in Kingham?

We do. Kingham is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we will check availability.

Can you cater at a hired venue?

Yes, if there’s a suitable outdoor or ventilated spot to cook. Check the venue allows live cooking.

Can you do sangria?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, Oxfordshire included. Find your area.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.

Do you cater for children?

Of course. Children generally love a plain chicken paella. Tell us how many children are coming.

How our paella party catering works in Kingham

A paella party works in most gardens, as long as there’s a flat spot clear of fences and branches. Not sure? Send a picture. We cook mixed paella, chicken and chorizo paella and tapas, and typical bookings are for anniversaries and engagement parties and street and neighbourhood parties.

In a small place like Kingham, a party in the garden or a nearby field is often the plan. Let us know about access, and we will handle the rest. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, each in a separate pan and clearly labelled.

For planners, venues and organisers

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

What happens on the day

The cooking is part of the entertainment. Onion, garlic, peppers and tomato go in first, then the stock and saffron, then the rice, which cooks without stirring. At midsummer, it is light in Kingham until about 9:30pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:10pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. We check your date and the space.
  2. You choose your paellas and any extras.
  3. We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. We serve hot and tidy our area afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Have a level space ready for the pans

How we price paella party catering

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Guest numbers
  • The paellas you choose
  • Parking and unloading
  • How many courses

Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need to know

The more we know about your party, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Expected numbers
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. You can send us your details through our quote form.

What we need at the venue

Most outdoor spaces and many venues work for live paella, but a few things matter:

  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • A quick photo of the spot helps us plan
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

Should I cook it myself?

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Planning a party in Kingham

Kingham is about 10 miles north of Carterton, in Oxfordshire. Whether your party is in the middle of Kingham or on the outskirts, paella party catering works the same way: live cooking, separate pans for every diet and a clear price. We cater in all 443 towns and villages in Oxfordshire, from the larger towns to small villages. Our nearest city page is Oxford, about 20 miles away.

Christenings and naming days often start at a local church such as Church of St Andrew, with a paella lunch at home or in a hall afterwards. Nearby historic houses include Chastleton House (3.3 miles north). Grand settings like these frequently have strict catering rules, so for most parties a garden or hired hall is simpler.

Anywhere in OX7, we can cook for your guests. Whether your party is on Station Road, Cozens Lane and Orchard Way or anywhere nearby, we’ll bring the pans to you. Kingham is on the B4450, so it is easy for us to reach with the van and pans. Close by, we cover parties in Bledington (1 mile south-west). Within a short drive, we also cover Witney (10 miles south-east), Carterton (10 miles south), Chipping Norton (4 miles north-east), Neithrop (15 miles north-east), Ruscote (15 miles north-east) and Woodstock (13 miles east).

A little further out are Chipping Norton Museum (3.9 miles north-east) and Moore Cottage Hospital (5.8 miles west).
