Paella party catering near Fleet

Common questions in Fleet

Can you cater a reception after a service at Fleet Methodist Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

Which station should guests use for Fleet?

Fleet station, about 1.2 miles north of the centre.

Do you cook inside?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces frequently work.

Can you supply plates?

If you need them. Crockery or disposables are available.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Fleet.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

How many different paellas?

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.

Can you provide dessert?

We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.

How our paella party catering works in Fleet

Mixed groups are easy: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood pan and a vegetable or vegan pan side by side. A plain chicken paella keeps children happy. Popular choices include vegetable paella, chicken and chorizo paella and seafood paella, and we are often booked for street and neighbourhood parties and naming days and christenings.

Birthdays, christenings and summer parties in Fleet often happen at home or in a local hall. Live paella works at both, given some outdoor or ventilated space. You’ll know exactly what’s included before you book: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose, with no surprises on the day.

Paella compared with other options

Hog roasts don’t suit vegetarians and vegans. Separate paella pans cover everyone. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why Fleet hosts choose us

  • Catering across Hampshire, including Fleet
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Let the neighbours know
  • Have enough chairs for most guests
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling
  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather

When service is finished, we pack down quietly, so the party carries on.

We can bring plates, cutlery and staff.

It’s the easiest way to feed a party without being stuck in the kitchen, and it is a talking point.

  • Summer garden parties

Choosing a paella caterer

Hosting a paella party in Fleet

Fleet is about 13 miles south-east of Reading, in Hampshire. For a party in Fleet, we cater in back gardens, halls with outdoor space, barns, marquees and offices. Fleet is one of 683 places in Hampshire where we cook. Our nearest city page is Guildford, about 12 miles away.

Parks such as Oakley Park typically need permission for cooking, so a garden or hired venue is frequently easier. Nearby historic houses include Farnham Castle (4.1 miles south). Grand settings like these often have strict catering rules, so for most parties a garden or hired hall is simpler.

Paella party catering in GU51, GU52 and GU10 is planned around your venue. Streets in the area include Church Road, Durnsford Avenue and Hankins Court, and we can cook for a party on any of them. With the A323 and A3013 close by, Fleet is easy for us to reach with everything for your party. We also cook at parties in Church Crookham (1 mile south-east), Crookham Village (1 mile west), Elvetham Heath (1 mile north-west), Dogmersfield (2 miles west) and Elvetham (2 miles north-west). A proper vegetable paella, not an afterthought.

Chicken & chorizo paella

Chicken and chorizo is a crowd-pleaser, though it is not traditional in Valencia.

  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before booking.

For planners, venues and organisers

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

What paella party catering costs

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • How many guests are eating
  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you need crockery

The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The venue or postcode

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you’re ready, fill in our quote form.

The process

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, it is light in Fleet until about 9:25pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. On the day, we set up and get cooking.
  4. The paella cooks while your guests chat, with any tapas served first.
  5. It is served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Make sure we can park close by to unload
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
