Paella party catering for Finkley events

Paella party catering in Finkley, cooked live

A paella party takes the cooking off your hands without turning the day into a formal dinner. We set up in a corner of the garden or venue and cook while your guests chat. For christenings and naming days and retirement celebrations, we can cook tapas, churros and vegetable paella and more.

In a small place like Finkley, a party in the garden or a nearby field is often the plan. Let us know about access, and we will handle the rest. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

About the dishes

Tapas

A few tapas set the scene while they watch the pans.

Chicken & chorizo paella

A smoky favourite with children and adults, and a good choice for guests who don’t eat seafood.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

How the day works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our cooking area, and cook and serve without fuss. At midsummer, it’s light in Finkley until about 9:25pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:10pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. You tell us the date, address, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote.
  3. On the day, we set up and get cooking.
  4. The paella cooks while your guests chat, with any tapas served first.
  5. It’s served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
