Paella party catering for Corhampton events

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Unlike a barbecue, paella is ready at once, so everyone eats together. And there’s no host stuck at the grill. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we’ll talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Make sure children stay back from the pans
  • Let the neighbours know
  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather
  • Make sure most people can sit to eat

Booked staff help serve and clear so you can relax.

Churros and chocolate go down well with all ages.

Corhampton questions

Do you come out to small places like Corhampton?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

We’re having a ceremony at Corhampton Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Will it be noisy or smoky?

Gas cooking means steam and a good smell, not much smoke. The smell is typically the best advert for the party.

Do you cook at halls and clubs?

Normally. We need a suitable spot and the venue’s agreement.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we can plan it carefully.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

Can you do sangria?

We can make sangria, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

Can you set up in a small garden?

Many gardens work. We need level ground, clearance and access. Send us a picture.

DIY paella versus live catering

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

How the day works

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, it is light in Corhampton until about 9:20pm, so a garden party can run well into the evening. By late September sunset is around 7:10pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. We arrive, set up in your garden or venue and start the sofrito.
  4. Guests gather round as it cooks, nibbling tapas if you’ve booked them.
  5. It’s served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

How to prepare

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

What we need at the venue

  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
