Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

Which station should guests use for Breach?

Newington station, about 0.8 miles south-east of the centre.

How much paella per person?

We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Let us know about any other food. See how much paella per person.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it’s short notice, it’s worth asking.

Can you cater at a hired venue?

Yes, if there is a suitable outdoor or ventilated spot to cook. Check the venue allows live cooking.

How early should we book?

As early as you can for summer weekends, which fill up first. Ask about your date.

Do you cover Breach?

We do. Breach is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your menu and numbers. We will agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you.

About our paella party catering in Breach

A paella party takes the cooking off your hands without turning the day into a formal dinner. We set up in a corner of the garden or venue and cook while your guests chat. On the menu are churros, vegetable paella and seafood paella, and typical bookings are for baby celebrations and garden get-togethers.

Country parties near Breach suit live paella: cooked outside, served from the pan. Plan a gazebo in case of rain. The paella is served straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and a queue moves quickly.

Churros

Churros are a treat for all ages.

Seafood paella

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Space, weather and the venue

We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think.

How it works

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, it is light in Breach until about 9:15pm, so a garden party can run well into the evening. By late September sunset is around 7:00pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. You tell us the date, address, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. On the day, we set up and get cooking.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. It is served from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Keep a clear zone around the cooking area
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Give the neighbours a heads-up

After service, we pack down, so the party carries on.

Tapas and nibbles while the paella cooks keep hunger at bay.
