Live paella catering in Westerton
Paella catering in Westerton, made fresh on the day
The cooking is half the fun. Guests gather round as the sofrito sizzles and the saffron colours the rice, and the smell does the rest. We cook vegan paella, seafood paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater naming days and family parties and milestone birthday parties.
Somewhere as small as Westerton, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes and long drives are no problem if we know about them, and a firm spot near where we park makes set-up easier. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.

Prices and what affects them
There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- The number of people
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- The length of service
Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.
What we need to know
The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:
- Anything your venue supplies
- A photo of the space, if you can
- Which courses you have in mind
- The venue or postcode

Paella compared with other options
With a barbecue, food comes in waves. Paella is cooked as one big dish and served together. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Should I cook it myself?
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and do not stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.
Before you choose a spot
We will be honest if a space won’t work, and help find another spot. What matters most:
- The venue’s permission for live cooking
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
- Somewhere close to park and unload
If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think.
What we offer
- Vegetable paella
- Seafood paella

Questions from Westerton
What’s the nearest station to Westerton for guests?
The closest is Chichester station, roughly 2.5 miles away.
Can you cater a reception after a service at The Parish Church of St Peter?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook on the day, serving it hot from the pan.
What space do you need to cook?
Less than you might think: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a picture if you are not sure.
How soon do we need to book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it’s worth asking.
Are premium seafood options available?
We will talk through seafood options when we plan your menu.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas first, paella to follow.
Do you provide drinks?
Sangria, yes. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.
