How our paella catering works in West Liss

Two or three pans side by side cover every guest: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. Every pan is cooked on its own, so diets are easy to manage. Popular choices include seafood paella, vegetable paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and we are regularly asked to cater garden get-togethers and engagement and anniversary parties.

Somewhere like West Liss, a field or garden is frequently the perfect setting. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

Planning for every diet

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because every paella has its own pan. A few tips:

  • Ensure each pan is labelled
  • Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
  • Flag any coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Tell us what else is being served

If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.

Add canapé tapas with the drinks or table tapas as a starter while the paella cooks.

What affects the price in West Liss

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • The number of people
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Parking and unloading
  • The length of service

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • Where the event is
  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Which courses you have in mind

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. To send your details, fill in our quote form.

Is live paella right for your event?

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, paella makes vegetarian, vegan and halal guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate pans. It is served quickly from the pan, so queues move. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

For planners, venues and organisers

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

How to compare caterers

Common questions in West Liss

Is West Liss too small for live paella?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Do you cater in the South Downs National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Do you cater for young children?

Yes, children are easy to cater for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan for them.

Which paellas do you recommend?

Most events choose two or three: a mixed or chicken paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. Our menu lists the options.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, Hampshire included. Find your area.

Is paella enough as a main?

Yes. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

How it works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our cooking area, and cook and serve without fuss. In West Liss, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Make sure we can park close by to unload

Dishes our guests love

Paella Valenciana

The original paella from Valencia is a countryside dish of chicken and vegetables, not seafood. It is frequently the most popular pan at an event.

Mixed paella

Chicken and seafood together, and a popular all-rounder.
