Paella catering in Twyford

How we price paella catering

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • The length of service
  • The number of people
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • A photo of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field
  • The address or venue name
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, use our quote form.

Paella catering in Twyford, cooked live

There is something generous about paella: giant pans, saffron colour and a toasted crust that everyone fights over. It makes the food an event in itself. We cook seafood paella, paella Valenciana and vegetable paella, and typical bookings are for retirement and leaving parties and fairs, fêtes and festivals.

In a smaller place like Twyford, a garden party is often the simplest option: no hire fees, and live paella feeds everyone without anyone stuck in the kitchen. Let us know about access to the house. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Cold buffets are easy but forgettable, and food can sit out for a while. Paella is cooked in front of your guests and served hot. Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Choosing a paella caterer

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Put allergy details in writing
  • Request clear labels at the serving table

You shouldn’t have to worry about the food on the day. We arrive in good time, set up, cook and serve, and stay in touch with your venue about timings.

We can add sangria and bar staff for your own drinks.

Planning the cooking area

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Somewhere close to park and unload

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What’s in the pans

Seafood paella

Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, finished with lemon wedges. It is the pan people photograph.

Paella Valenciana

The original paella from Valencia is a countryside dish of chicken and vegetables, rather than seafood. It’s a favourite with guests who don’t eat fish.

The process

Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook. In Twyford, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.

  1. We start with a few details about your event.
  2. You get a menu and an itemised quote.
  3. We agree timings, access and the cooking spot.
  4. We cook live on the day while guests watch.
  5. It’s served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Getting ready for the day

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area

Questions from Twyford

Can you cook in Loddon Nature Reserve?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

What’s the nearest station to Twyford for guests?

Twyford station, in Twyford itself.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Twyford.

Is the paella gluten-free?

Yes, on request. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

Of course. Children often love a simple chicken paella. Tell us how many are coming.

Do you bring everything you need?

We bring the pans, burners and ingredients. You provide a suitable spot and access.

How many different paellas?

Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll help you decide the split.

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
