Paella catering near Twydall

Paella catering in Twydall, made fresh on the day

Paella was made for feeding a crowd: cooked in the open in a big, shallow pan and shared straight from it. That’s what we bring to events in Twydall. For milestone birthday parties and anniversaries and engagement parties, we can cook seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and vegetable paella.

A place like Twydall often has a hall, a club or a pub garden nearby; any can work for paella, with permission and somewhere outside to cook. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

What affects the price in Twydall

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • The length of service
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Details that help

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • A picture of where we’d cook

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. To send your details, use our quote form.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Vans serve one order at a time. A paella pan serves many portions quickly, which suits weddings and parties where everyone eats together. Larger events typically cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why Twydall hosts choose us

  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Drinks service on request

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

What’s in the pans

Paella Valenciana

Valencians take their paella seriously. The traditional pan has chicken, flat green beans and butter beans.

Mixed paella

Paella mixta combines meat and seafood in one pan, and it’s frequently the first pan to empty.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Make sure each pan is labelled
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP

If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.

Finish with churros, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago, or serve your own cake.

Twydall: your questions answered

How far is Twydall from London?

About 31 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Do you cater in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

What if the weather’s bad?

A covered, ventilated spot keeps us cooking in the rain. We’ll talk it through before the day.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, where your guests can watch.

Do we need to provide equipment?

We bring the pans, burners and ingredients. You just need a suitable spot and access.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in a separate pan.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

What happens on the day

The cooking is part of the entertainment. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook while your guests chat. Around midsummer it stays light in Twydall until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.

  1. First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and diets.
  2. You get a suggested menu and an itemised quote.
  3. We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
  4. The paella cooks in front of your guests, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. It is served straight from the pan, and we pack down afterwards.
