Catering for every guest
Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:
- Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
- Ask for labels on each pan
- Put allergy details in writing
- Have seats for most of your guests
Once the rice is in, it needs about 20 minutes, so we time it carefully. If timings shift, we adapt.
Bread, salad and lemon go well alongside.
Paella catering for your event in Tokyngton
We cook every paella from scratch on the day, beginning with a sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, then the stock, saffron and rice. Popular choices include vegetable paella, paella Valenciana and mixed paella, and we are regularly asked to cater anniversaries and engagement parties and milestone birthday parties.
London gardens are frequently long and narrow, but a level spot away from fences and trees is typically all we need. For an event in Tokyngton, tell us where we can park to unload. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Dishes our guests love
Mixed paella
Mixed paella brings meat and seafood together.
Black rice
Arroz negro is coloured and flavoured with squid ink, traditionally with alioli. It makes a dramatic second seafood pan.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
How it works
We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. Evenings in Tokyngton stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.
- Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
- We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
- Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
- On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
- We serve, then leave our area tidy.
Preparing for the day
- Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches
- Tell us when you want to eat
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking

Organising for someone else?
Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.
What paella catering costs
The price comes down to a few factors:
- How many guests are eating
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Travel, parking and access
- The length of service
The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, along with staff, extras and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Details that help
When you contact us, it helps to tell us:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Anything your venue supplies
- Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
- The address or venue name
We quote for each event separately, so you only pay for what you need. For a quote, fill in our quote form.
Live paella or other catering?
A cold buffet is simple but has no theatre, and food can sit out for a while. Paella is cooked live and served hot. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.
Why book with us
- Every diet catered for, pan by pan
- Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
- Waiting staff and crockery on request
- No hidden extras in your quote
