Paella catering in Radfall
Paella catering in Radfall, cooked live
We cook every paella from scratch on the day, starting with a slow sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, then the stock, saffron and rice. We cook chicken and chorizo paella, black rice and vegan paella, and we are regularly asked to cater community events and fairs and garden parties and summer barbecues.
In a rural place like Radfall, the setting does plenty of the work: a giant pan in a garden or field fits perfectly. Let us know about access and ground conditions. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.
How we price paella catering
There’s nothing hidden: the quote reflects:
- How many staff you need
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Timings and hours
Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.
What to tell us
For a quote, it helps to have:
- What the venue already provides
- The courses you’d like
- The date and rough timings
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
Send us the date, your venue or CT5 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. Just fill in our quote form.
FAQs for Radfall
Do you come out to small places like Radfall?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.
What’s the nearest station to Radfall for guests?
The closest is Chestfield & Swalecliffe station, roughly 1.5 miles away.
Can you do sangria?
We can make sangria, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.
What areas do you cover?
We cater across London and the South East, including Kent. Find your area.
What about pudding?
Yes. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.
What happens with live paella?
We arrive with pans, burners and ingredients, cook in front of your guests, and serve at the time you want.
Can you feed a lot of people?
It’s ideal. Big pans feed a lot of people, and service from the pan is quick.
Can we add tapas or canapés?
Of course. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, served while the paella cooks.
Should I cook it myself?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
Why live cooking beats a buffet
Cold buffets are easy but forgettable, and food can sit out for a while. Paella is cooked live and served hot. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

The menu, dish by dish
Black rice
Black rice gets its colour from squid ink, traditionally with alioli. It’s a striking addition to a seafood menu.
Seafood paella
A rich seafood stock with prawns, mussels and squid, finished with lemon wedges. It is usually the most photographed pan.

The process
We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. Around midsummer it stays light in Radfall until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
- You share your date, numbers and venue.
- We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
- We arrive early to set up the burners and pans.
- The sofrito, stock and rice go in, and guests gather to watch.
- We serve hot from the pan and clear our cooking area.
How to prepare
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area
