Paella catering for Park Royal events

About our paella catering in Park Royal

The cooking is half the fun. People drift over as the sofrito sizzles and the rice turns gold, and the smell does the rest. We’re frequently asked to cater festivals, fairs and school events and weddings, from canapés to evening food, serving vegan paella, black rice and mixed paella.

Gardens in London can be narrow, but a level spot away from fences and trees is generally all we need. In Park Royal, the bigger question is parking near the house or venue. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

The process

The cooking is part of the entertainment. Onion, garlic, peppers and tomato go in first, then the stock and saffron, then the rice, which cooks without stirring. Planning an evening event in Park Royal? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; once it’s dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu and a clear quote.
  3. We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
  5. We serve it hot from the pan and clear our area when service ends.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Ensure we can park close by to unload

Should I cook it myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Planning the cooking area

Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo

Park Royal is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What affects the price in Park Royal

We’ll give you a clear, itemised quote. What affects it most:

  • The paellas you choose
  • How many guests are eating
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Waiting and bar staff

Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Anything your venue supplies
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • The venue or postcode

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, send us your details through our quote form.

Paella Valenciana

The original paella from Valencia is a countryside dish of chicken and vegetables, rather than seafood. It is a favourite with guests who do not eat fish.

Black rice

Black rice looks dramatic and tastes of the sea, and is popular with adventurous guests.
