Paella catering near Middle Park

Paella catering for your event in Middle Park

You can keep it simple or build a full menu: paella on its own, or with canapés, table tapas, desserts and sangria. We will recommend what fits your event. Popular choices include mixed paella, vegan paella and vegetable paella, and we are often booked for company summer parties and weddings and evening receptions.

Around Middle Park, most London events we are asked about are in gardens, courtyards and hired venues. The thing to plan is parking and unloading, so let us know about parking permits or a driveway. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

What we need at the venue

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but a few things matter:

  • Parking close enough to carry equipment
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area

Middle Park is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

  • Black rice (arroz negro)
  • Seafood paella
  • Chicken & chorizo paella

How the day works

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. Evenings in Middle Park stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; once it’s dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking

Planning help

Events we cater in Middle Park

Paella is one of the few dishes that handles mixed diets easily, thanks to separate pans for each version. Nobody gets a token ‘special meal’.

These are some of the occasions we cater:

  • Weddings and evening receptions
  • Retirement celebrations
  • Family celebrations and christenings
  • Anniversary celebrations

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St Saviour, live paella at a garden or venue nearby works well.

What your quote should include

  • How many staff are coming, and for how long
  • The deadline for final numbers
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • Space, access and power needs

12 questions to ask before you book

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues frequently have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

DIY paella versus live catering

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

Your questions about paella catering in Middle Park

Can you cook in Horn Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, typically the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

Which station should guests use for Middle Park?

The closest is Mottingham station, roughly 0.5 miles away.

Do you cook inside?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces frequently work.

When do you arrive?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We’ll agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

What happens with live paella?

We cook from scratch at your venue in big pans, in front of your guests, and serve straight from the pan.

Which paellas do you recommend?

That depends on who’s coming. Chicken and mixed paellas tend to go first, with seafood and vegetable pans alongside.

Can you do sangria?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

If you want something different from the usual buffet or roast, live paella adds colour, smell and theatre to your event in Middle Park. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Why us?

  • We cover Middle Park and the whole of Greater London
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
  • Let us know about other food at the event
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
  • Confirm allergies by email

Paella is best eaten as soon as it’s ready, so we plan service for when guests are ready to eat.

Finish with churros, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago.
