- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- How many staff you need
- Travel, parking and access
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Details that help
For a quote, it helps to have:
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

A closer look at the menu
Vegetable and vegan paella
The vegetable pan is a dish in its own right: peppers, artichokes and beans with saffron, cooked in its own pan.
Mixed paella
Paella mixta combines meat and seafood in one pan, and it is often the first pan to empty.
Space, weather and the venue
We will be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. The main points are:
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
- Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
- Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think before you book.
What we offer
- Mixed paella
- Chicken & chorizo paella
- Vegetable paella
- Vegan paella
- Paella Valenciana
- Seafood paella
- Black rice (arroz negro)

About 55 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Which station should guests use for Lynsore Bottom?
The closest is Bekesbourne station, roughly 4.2 miles away.
When do you arrive?
It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance so the paella is ready when you want it.
Do you bring everything you need?
All cooking kit comes with us. Tell us what the venue provides, such as tables or crockery.
How many paellas should we have?
Typically two or three, so every guest has a choice. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Yes. Children often love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.
Do you cook inside?
Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces often work.
How soon do we need to book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

Live paella or other catering?
Next to a hog roast or barbecue, live paella is easier for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests, because each paella has its own pan. It is served quickly from the pan, so queues move. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Serving is fast: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so large groups are fed quickly. When service is finished, we pack down. Evenings in Lynsore Bottom stay light until about 9:15pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:00pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.

- We suggest a menu and confirm a quote, including what’s included.
- We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
- Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
