Live paella catering in Ledborough

Paella catering in Ledborough, made fresh on the day

A couple of different pans covers everyone: meat, seafood and vegetarian or vegan paellas. Every pan is cooked on its own, so diets are easy to manage. On the menu are mixed paella, vegetable paella and seafood paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater community events and fairs and big birthdays.

In a small place like Ledborough, events are typically in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes and long drives are no problem if we know about them, and cooking close to where we can park helps. We serve straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and a queue moves quickly.

Planning for every diet

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included. To get it right:

  • Tell us what else is being served
  • Flag any coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Count adults and children separately
  • Confirm allergies by email

If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can enjoy your guests.

Sangria and bar staff can be added for your own drinks.

Questions from Ledborough

Do you come out to small places like Ledborough?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Which station should guests use for Ledborough?

The closest is Beaconsfield station, roughly 0.5 miles away.

Do you cater in Ledborough?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Ledborough and the rest of Buckinghamshire. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

Is live paella good for a large crowd?

Very much so. We plan the number of pans and serving points around your numbers.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

How much paella per person?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Accurate numbers help.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Do you bring everything you need?

Pans, burners and ingredients all come with us. You provide a suitable spot and access.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. Evenings in Ledborough stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
  4. We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Space, weather and the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A plated meal needs a kitchen, more staff and generally costs more per head. Live paella needs only a level, ventilated spot and permission to cook, and it is entertaining too. Larger events generally cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why Ledborough hosts choose us

  • Fast service from the pan
  • Events in Ledborough and across Buckinghamshire
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • No hidden extras in your quote

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Planners, venues and businesses

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

What’s in the pans

Seafood paella

Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, finished with lemon wedges. It’s normally the most photographed pan.

Paella Valenciana

Valencians take their paella seriously. The traditional pan has chicken, flat green beans and butter beans, and it’s a crowd-pleaser.
