Paella catering for Golden Pot events

What affects the price in Golden Pot

Live paella pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • How many guests are eating
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • How long we’re needed on site

Larger events generally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Details that help

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Where the event is
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What the venue already provides
  • Your date and when you want to eat

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. To send your details, use our quote form.

About our paella catering in Golden Pot

Almost any venue with a level, ventilated spot will do: gardens, marquees, barns, courtyards and festival fields. We are often asked to cater garden parties and summer barbecues and weddings and evening receptions, serving vegetable paella, black rice and chicken and chorizo paella.

In a small place like Golden Pot, events are generally in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes and long drives are no problem if we know about them, and cooking close to where we can park helps. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Organising for someone else?

If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Planning for every diet

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included. To get it right:

  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Let us know about other food at the event
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
  • Request clear labels at the serving table

Let the paella rest for a few minutes before serving, which is when we normally call guests over.

Crockery, cutlery and waiting staff are available if your venue does not provide them.

Should I cook it myself?

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and do not stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.

Step by step

On the day, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. Around midsummer it stays light in Golden Pot until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.

  1. We start with a few details about your event.
  2. You get a menu and an itemised quote.
  3. Timings, access and the cooking area are agreed in advance.
  4. We cook live on the day while guests watch.
  5. It is served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Preparing for the day

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Ensure we can park close by to unload
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
