Paella catering in Faygate
Paella catering in Faygate, cooked live
You can keep it simple or build a full menu: just paella, or paella with tapas, desserts and drinks. We will recommend what fits your event. Popular choices include paella Valenciana, mixed paella and vegetable paella, and we are often booked for summer garden parties and festivals, fairs and school events.
In a small place like Faygate, events are usually in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Tell us about narrow lanes or long drives and we’ll plan for them, and a firm spot near where we park makes set-up easier. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Planning for every diet
With a little notice, every diet is easy. We suggest:
- Confirm allergies by email
- Ensure most guests can sit to eat
- Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
- Tell us how many children are coming
Any staff you book serve and clear, so you can enjoy your guests.
Sangria and bar staff can be added for your own drinks.
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.
Before you choose a spot
The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
- Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
- Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Planners, venues and businesses
Venues frequently have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
Paella compared with other options
Vans serve one order at a time. A big pan serves many guests fast, so everyone can eat at the same time. Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.

Your questions about paella catering in Faygate
How far is Faygate from London?
About 29 miles from central London, and well within our area.
Could we have live paella in Target Hill Park?
Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.
Do you come to Faygate?
Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Faygate and the rest of West Sussex. To check your date, use our quote form.
When do you arrive?
That depends on your menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance.
Do you offer halal options?
Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.
Can the paella be cooked in a hall?
Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.
What areas do you cover?
London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.
What is live paella catering?
We set up a cooking area at your venue, cook the paella from scratch in large pans while your guests watch, and serve it straight from the pan.
Step by step
We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. Around midsummer it stays light in Faygate until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.
- Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
- Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
- A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
- We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
- Guests are served from the pan, and our area is cleared afterwards.
Before we arrive
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Make sure we can park close by to unload
