Paella catering in Fairseat
How our paella catering works in Fairseat
A couple of different pans covers everyone: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. Every pan is cooked on its own, so diets are easy to manage. Whether it’s family celebrations and christenings and anniversaries and engagement parties, we’ll put together a menu of vegan paella, black rice and vegetable paella.
Somewhere as small as Fairseat, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes or long drives and we will plan for them, and cooking close to where we can park helps. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in a separate pan and clearly labelled.
How we price paella catering
The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:
- Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
- The number of people
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Timings and hours
Got a budget? Let us know, and we will put together a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.
What to tell us
You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:
- Which courses you have in mind
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- What the venue already provides
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.
Working with your venue
For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.
Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll tell you honestly whether live paella will work.
Your questions about paella catering in Fairseat
Is Fairseat close to London?
Roughly 22 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.
Do you come out to small places like Fairseat?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.
Can we choose the seafood?
Seafood choices are agreed when we plan the menu.
Do you take everything away?
We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Table clearing is available with waiting staff.
Can you feed plenty of people?
Yes, that is what it is made for. We plan the number of pans and serving points around your numbers.
Should we have more than one paella?
Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll help you decide the split.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, where your guests can watch.
How much is live paella catering?
It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we’ll send a quote.
Planning the cooking area
Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. In general, we need:
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

Catering for every guest
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:
- Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
- Have seats for most of your guests
- Add a dietary question to your invitations
- Confirm allergies by email
Paella is best eaten as soon as it’s ready, so we serve when guests are ready.
We can add sangria and bar staff to serve drinks you provide.

Live paella or other catering?
Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, live paella is easier for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests, because each paella has its own pan. It’s served quickly from the pan, so queues move. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.
Why us?
- We cover Fairseat and the whole of Kent
- Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
- A clear, itemised quote
- Sangria and bar staff available

Should I cook it myself?
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
The process
Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so even a long queue moves. When service is finished, we pack down. In Fairseat, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

- We plan a menu that covers every diet.
- We arrive in good time to set up.

A closer look at the menu
Paella Valenciana
Paella Valenciana is the original: chicken, beans and saffron, not seafood. It’s frequently the most popular pan at an event.
Vegetable and vegan paella
Seasonal vegetables on a rich sofrito base make a paella that stands on its own. For vegans, the stock is plant-based.
- Cooked live in giant pans at your event
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
- Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
- Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
