Paella catering in Clement Street

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Paella catering for your event in Clement Street

There’s something generous about paella: giant pans, saffron colour and a toasted crust that everyone fights over. It turns a meal into an occasion. We cook seafood paella, vegetable paella and mixed paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater milestone birthday parties and garden parties and summer barbecues.

In a rural place like Clement Street, the setting does a lot of the work: a huge pan in a garden or field fits perfectly. Tell us about access and the ground. We serve straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it is ready.

About the dishes

Vegetable and vegan paella

A vegetable paella isn’t an afterthought: peppers, artichokes and beans with saffron, cooked in its own pan.

Seafood paella

A rich seafood stock with prawns, mussels and squid, finished with lemon wedges. It is normally the most photographed pan.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Timings and hours
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Parking and unloading
  • Whether you need crockery

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • The venue or postcode
  • Expected numbers
  • Anything your venue supplies

To get a price, use our quote form. Tell us about your event in Clement Street, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Parking close enough to carry equipment

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think.

FAQs for Clement Street

Could we have live paella in Dartford Heath?

Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

We are having a ceremony at Church of Saint Paul: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do we need to provide equipment?

Pans, burners and ingredients all come with us. You provide a suitable spot and access.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Clement Street.

How much space do you need?

Not a lot: a level spot clear of fences, hedges and branches, with room for a serving table. Send us a picture if you are not sure.

Is halal food available?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we will cook a separate pan.

Can you serve drinks?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

How long does the paella take?

We get there in good time to set up. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.

Diets, allergies and planning

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
  • Count adults and children separately
  • Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
  • Request clear labels at the serving table

The rice takes about 20 minutes once it goes in, so we time it carefully. If plans change, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Bread, salad and lemon go well alongside and suit guests who are not big rice eaters.

The process

Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook while your guests chat. Planning an evening event in Clement Street? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

  1. First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote, including what’s included.
  3. On the day we arrive in good time, set up and start the stock.
  4. The rice cooks in full view, while tapas or canapés go round.
  5. It’s served straight from the pan, and we pack down afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot

How to get a price

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. To get started, send us your details through our quote form.
