Paella catering in Ashford Hill
About our paella catering in Ashford Hill
Paella was made for feeding a crowd: cooked outdoors in a wide, shallow pan and shared. That is what we bring to events in Ashford Hill. On the menu are black rice, seafood paella and vegetable paella, and we are often booked for company summer parties and wedding breakfasts and evening food.
In a rural place like Ashford Hill, the setting does a lot of the work: a paella cooking in a garden or field feels right at home. Tell us about access and the ground. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

A closer look at the menu
Seafood paella
Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, cooked until the rice is golden. It is usually the most photographed pan.
Vegetable and vegan paella
A slow sofrito, seasonal vegetables and a good vegetable stock make a proper main dish. For vegans, the stock is plant-based.
Live paella or other catering?
If you want something different from the usual buffet or roast, live paella brings colour, aroma and a touch of Spain. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

How the day works
The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, which we agree with you beforehand. In Ashford Hill, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so summer evening events are usually served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
- First, tell us about your event.
- You get a menu and an itemised quote.
- We agree timings, access and the cooking spot.
- We cook live on the day while guests watch.
- We serve from the pan, then pack down.
Preparing for the day
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Make sure we can park close by to unload
- Leave space around the cooking area

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
