Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Timings and hours
  • Parking and unloading
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Questions from Twelve Oaks

How far is Twelve Oaks from London?

Roughly 43 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Which station should guests use for Twelve Oaks?

The closest is Robertsbridge station, roughly 3.4 miles away.

What do you need at the pitch?

We will confirm our needs once we know the pitch details.

Can you do sangria?

Yes, sangria. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

A gluten-free pan is no problem. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

Do you cook inside?

Mostly outside or under an open cover, since the burners are gas. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Table clearing is available with waiting staff.

Can you supply plates?

Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

How it works

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand. At midsummer, events in Twelve Oaks stay light until about 9:15pm, so evening trading usually finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
  2. You get our menu, pitch requirements and paperwork.
  3. We set up at the agreed time.
  4. We cook in front of the crowd and serve from the pan all event.
  5. We clear the pitch and leave it clean.

Before we arrive

  • Plan cover in case of rain
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Tell us where to park and unload
