Festival paella catering near Tidebrook

DIY paella versus live catering

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

Festival paella catering for your event in Tidebrook

The pans are part of the attraction. People stop, watch and come back to eat. We’re frequently asked to cater charity and school events and sports club events, serving seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and giant-pan paella.

Rural events near Tidebrook can be a long way from food outlets, so a paella stall is a welcome sight. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and service is quick once it is ready.

Common questions in Tidebrook

Do you cater in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.

Do you come out to small places like Tidebrook?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Generally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, since the burners are gas. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook on the day, serving it hot from the pan.

Do you need power?

Tell us what’s available at the pitch and we’ll confirm what we need.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Let us know your halal numbers, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

What areas do you cover?

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • How many guests are eating
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables

Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Anything your venue supplies
  • The courses you’d like
  • Where the event is

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send a clear, itemised quote.

Is live paella right for your event?

Some traders struggle with vegan and gluten-free options. A vegan paella pan sits alongside the others. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why book with us

  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Live cooking, not reheated food

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up the pans and burners, and get on with cooking and serving. Summer events in Tidebrook have daylight until about 9:15pm at midsummer and about 7:00pm by late September, so evening trading generally finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. Tell us about the event, the crowd and the pitch.
  2. We reply with our menu, prices for visitors and requirements.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. On the day, the pans are on before the busiest hours.
  5. At close, we pack down and tidy up.
